I think Ledoux released exactly what they got.

Yes it took a long time for Ledoux to analyze this but it is a new and complex procedure and they also needed to fully understand the process. Also there is one other thing to consider. Dr Johnson has spent a long time on this method and understands it very well. But understanding it that well doesn't mean you can explain it right off. Ledoux and Dr J probably had to spend time making sure they understood each other. I have been in my business for over twenty years and understand the esoterica of my approach to trading very well, but just ask some of our trainees how much fun it is trying to get me to explain something ;)
