Ron, I also am glad the SEC is taking the lead and providing guidence on this problem. I hope when the time comes, our financial system can be at least temporarily insulated as much as possible from the part of the world that has ignored the problem. If our financial system isn't ready for the turn of the millenium when the deadline is reached, we have only ourselves to blame. I think there is an interesting parallel between now and a thousand years ago. As Europe approached the first millenium, there was concern that God would be displeased that mankind had not established a Kingdom of Peace on Earth after a thousand years. As we approach the second millenium, once again there is a feeling of dread of impending doom, not from the spiritual world but instead from our own stupidity. Charles
