this volume surge over the past two days says there's more to this than the little guys like us will get to know until it's too late

I used to think the same way, that there were experts and analysts that knew what is going on. That the big boys were in the know and that the public is somehow excluded from this kind of knowledge. All it took was for me to get to know one company really well to realize how false that conception is. Every time I hear some analyst explaining a company I know well on CNBC I'm convinced that these guys understand very little about the companies that they cover. They throw out a lot of the latest buzz words, but they really don't know the big picture.

What is terrible is how many people depend on them and believe them. If you want to know what a company does, you use its products, you listen to the clients, you listen to the people who work there, the vendors that install the product and not those guys in the executive suite or the analysts on WS.
