I looked at Prof Thiele's flyer and do not quite understand what you mean.
I guess that lower is better on that chart (instruction exec times), don't the rdram (interleaved) trace show nice low values? Am I missing something here? (I am looking at the black trace and the dark blue trace)

Apart from that, whether he likes DDR or rdram for his IP3 processor core, he is hired in to look at the patent language and determine whether DDR was covered by a patent or not. I wonder if he is the right guy for that, looking at his publications he seems very much a software guy, but I could be wrong as many publications are so-called "joint" publications, which probably means a student wrote it and he put his name on it as well.
