My cable modem installation and monthly cost is the same as Arnie's. And you get to keep the 3Com ethernet card but not the cable modem. Installation is tricky, took them 3 visits to get mine right. Most of the time it works OK, although there are evenings when it slows down almost to 33.6k speed. The big difference is in downloading massive files. Almost instantaneous. My provider is TCI At Home cable. Although almost everyone has cable, fiber optic cable is required for this connection and is slowly being rolled out across the country. If its available in your area, get it. Bruce
