Granite Broadcasting Corporation Announces Dividend On Cumulative Exchangeable Preferred
Stock

NEW YORK, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Granite Broadcasting Corporation today declared a dividend on shares of its 12.75% Cumulative Exchangeable
Preferred Stock of $63.75 for each share having a $1,000 liquidation preference. The dividend will be paid in kind through the issuance of 0.06375 additional shares
of Cumulative Exchangeable Preferred Stock for each outstanding share.

The dividend is payable on Monday, April 2, 2001 to shareholders of record as of today. The preferred stock began to trade ex-dividend on March 14, 2001.
