I find it interesting that the Republicans are complaining about the press coverage they are getting with regards with Pallin after they announce her and then, essentially, put her into hiding. I don't know what they were expecting given the lack of information that they had about her and how badly they had researched her record and how they only released what was favorable to what they felt their story should be. I think we are seeing what the next 4 years will be like if McCain gets elected. Attack others and complain. Claim to be bipartisan and then do everything to castigate the other side. Interesting way of trying to negotiate.

What I found interesting is how people are reacting to her speech. She did an ok job of reading her speech but I didn't like her cadence and delivery but it seems like I am in the minority. I thought she came across as being smug and sarcastic. I really didn't think that played well for me. The press seem like lap dogs and are lapping this up, almost being afraid to criticize much of anything she commented on last night. She got a pass last night in my opinion but reasonable people can disagree.

One of the interesting points about all of this that I think the press has not really gotten into and, so far, the Republicans have gotten a pass on, is this thing with Palin's husband being part of the AIP. Everybody on the red side got on Michelle Obama about possibly a slip of the tongue about being proud of being an American for the first time. Isn't being part of a secessionist party more of a problem in this regard. How does the red side explain this away. If your own side does this its ok but let someone else do this on the other side and it is a big problem with patriotism. Seems like speaking with a forked tongue. And that is not even addressing that Palin may or may not have addressed their convention in some manner of speaking. Obama sat in a church that the leader made some pretty bad remarks and he took a beating for it and I think rightfully so. Will we see something similar if it is true that Palin addressed this type of crowd? It will be interesting to see if she did speak, is there a video of what she said.

Just some things that I see as being interesting based on what I am seeing right now.
