I would expect that to be the case for regular Medicaid

In Texas at least, you don't have to sell your house. But, you can't have a car newer than 6(or is it 8?) years old. There are also limits on how much you can have in bank accounts and retirement accounts. Pretty low limits, like in the hundreds of dollars.
