Amy,

The point of PCOAC is purely cost. The package and test costs are greatly reduced in a single package. If someone wants to sell sub-$200 PC's at a profit, there is no other solution.

Realistically, there isn't much differentiating high end and low end microprocessors any more. Given that fact, the lack of upgradeability doesn't mean much.
