Rocky, Unfortunately SI is not allowing me to view your prior posts on the Epson PhotoPC 850Z. I wanted to add my remarks... 1) The image quality is superb. It is a quantum leap up from the lower resolution (1024 x 768) Epson that I bought 18 months ago. 2) The solar assisted LCD panel is o.k., but not a show stopping feature. You need to positon yourself so that the sun is behind you and the panel is pointing upwards (or toward the sun at dusk or early in the morning). It is a nice feature to have as an option, but I have found it difficult to use at times. 3) The aperture priority setting is a nice feature in that you can adjust the depth of field somewhat, especially when using the zoom feature. 4) You can view images taken without turning the control knob. When in the capture mode just change the menu (lower right button) and then click on the green arrow (upper left button) and you are in review status. Thus, you need not turn the camera through off to review. 5) The adjustable ISO feature is nice because it allows for indoor photography without using flash. This is particularly nice for young kids or infants. Also, it eliminates the red-eye that is almost unavoidable with flash photography. 6) With indoor lighting I find a slight yellow tinge to my pictures. Some even have the appearance that the subject is "dusted lightly with pollen". It may be due to white balance problems or just a quirk in the CCD. I plan to contact Epson. This problem is not readily visible to the untrained eye. I really am beginning to enjoy the Epson. I had a bit of buyer's remorse at first because it was very spendy. That is wearing off with time.
