HerbVic, I like your ASWAS acronym--reminds me of AWACS and ASEAN for some reason. Anyway, thanks for digging up the CompUSA figures.

What I'd like to add to your estimate is that the 14% figure was cpu-revenue. Now cpu revenue is obviously big, but not nearly all of Comp's revenues. It not only excludes software, but monitors too, as well as the smaller ticket peripherals.

Also, the initial 14% figure may not hold up chain-wide, since they initially equipped the Comps in Mac-strong areas (ie, the coasts).

I wouldn't be surprised if eventually CompUSA sells as many Macs as all those other national retailers combined.
