I guess it would depend on who was covering the shorts. If they had a cozy relationship with the MM's then I guess they wouldn't burn them. After all, shorts don't have a choice whether to buy or not. They MUST buy. You would think that the ask would go way up to make these holders pay big. This all goes back to one of my prior posts where I mentioned that I thought the price was being manipulated in order to make the conversion price of the preferred cheaper. It was probably short selling that has kept prices artificially low. Now they are getting out of the way to let this sucker ride just in time for earnings. Am I paranoid about MM's or does this make sense?
