IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THIS!

Kenny and All,

I caught this post from Kenny, and thought I'd jump in with an opinion before all the naysayers latch onto this as "proof" that OVIS is no longer trading!!

<If you enter OVIS on Yahoo you'll get a message that it has been changed to RMIL. But if you click on RMIL, then it says 'Symbol not known'.

On DBC, they give the message of 'Symbol "OVIS-BB" not found in the database. Please verify the ticker symbol'. Same thing with RMIL.>

I'm way back in the posts and catching up, but here's my opinion:

The brokerages take a while to get things straight during a company name or symbol change, and it's not uncommon for the company info and/or symbol to show up "N/A" or "Not Found" during that period. I deal with Discover Direct (old Lombard) and went through this recently with a comapny name change... imagine my panic when I pulled up my portfolio online and one of my holdings showed value $0 and symbol "N/A"!! Needless to say, I was on the phone with them in a heartbeat and it was explained that a company name change took place and it takes a few days before everything settles. As it turned out, I sold that position (for other reasons) while it was still in "N/A" status. Interestingly, my original position continued to show in my portfolio, and the sale showed up as a short position in the "new named" company until the settlement date at which point the two positions were reconciled by the clearinghouse. Anyhow, I ramble here, but the bottom line is we will likely see some funky info from the brokerages for a few days but in my experience (and therefore opinion), this funkiness does not in any way limit us from trading our positions.

Hope this helps.
