I suspect you have a reasonable idea as to what said plan is, however; your response will no doubt surprise me. BLACK (57) G8G7 (K-N2) WHITE (58) H4H5 (P-R5) I'm not comfortable with the outcome, yet, I look forward to it. Your description of your living environment pretty much matches an older friend of mine who grew up in St. Louis. He used to speak openly when referring to the different races or ethnic cultures. I think you know what I mean. This was all very foreign to me as our community did not identify the differences between people's ethnic backgrounds because there was simply not enough of a mix to outwardly make such a distinction. And there were very few people of different races. I don't remember any incidents which involved race, but then again as a youth and a white youth at that, such incidents would not have been immediately recognizable to me. I'm sure were one to ask the two black gentlemen or the three hispanic families the answer might have been different. Your depiction of your neighborhood life was interesting. Thank you for sharing it. Yes, I do find it strange that such a tie to ancestry still plays a role even today. Many different worlds; one country.
