Lumia 9xx Market Expansion ...

FUBHO,

<< Getting the Lumia 920 available on more than ATT would probably help volumes too. There are still a lot of people getting the top of the line, especially when they are subsidized. >>

Yes. Right on, "especially when they are [highly] subsidized," in affluent markets where TCO over a long contract period is taken lightly.

Given their anticipated supply constraints Nokia is obviously and legitimately operating under the deliberately gradual and phased launch of the 920 and its variants has been prudent and made a great deal of sense.

Not only is Nokia dealing with supply constraints they are likely dealing with operational constraints given their realignment of smartphone manufacturing and establishment of new and expanded production lines and processes in house.

The WP8 Lumias while not totally glitch free have come to market relatively cleanly from a software/firmware/hardware perspective. Better than many anticipated and that was hardly a given with an entirely new rewritten OS with new kernel and prudence in phasing the production releases(es) was wise.
