Dear WashPost Ombudsman - Cancel our subscription - and you're the reason why! Congratulations, Michael! You've finally managed to accomplish what no WashPost writer has done before - please cancel our subscription. You're supposed to be the ombudsman, not a blogger flogging paranoid conspiracy theories about Iraq two days before the presidential election. I expect hard news from the WashPost, not hysteria, and certainly not conveniently timed to tip the election in favor of your candidate. Further, I expect the ombudsman to act as ombudsman. If you perceive your job as ombudsman to ask as spokesman for the nutball contingent, it's time to pull the plug on your paper. The subscription is in the name of my husband, who is at church. I will have him contact you to confirm. He calls your paper "the Washington Compost." It will make his day ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Note: We've had a full subscription for about 15 years. I've been thinking of cancelling for a while now - this column really was the last straw. washingtonpost.com
