And not even those who thought their federal taxes were paid up on their life savings and other accumulated assets. Every time they or their heirs make purchases with those life savings or liquidated other assets (real estate, etc.), they will be paying yet more federal taxes via the VAT.

No one escapes a value added tax.
Not even those who earn less than $250,000 a year.
Not even those who operate their businesses for cash only.
Not even those who run illegitimate businesses.
Not even those on public assistance.
Not even those who are unemployed.
