British Parliament Rejects Racy E-mail (3/14)
Members of the British Parliament would like to discuss a new bill dealing with sexual offenders. But there's a problem: The new filtering software on their computers keeps blocking the e-mail they send to each other on the proposed legislation. The software, which was installed after lawmakers complained about getting obscene e-mail, is also blocking discussion of a consultation paper on censorship. "If MPs are so protected by the nanny state that they lose touch with the people, how can we possibly encourage more participation in politics?" asked Liberal Democrat spokesman Paul Tyler.
