>>> does BZP qualify as a buy candidate on your momentum band strategy?.... <<<

No!

I don't use the momentum bands to trigger a buy. I use the momentum band strategy to capture most of an explosive price move ... to capture any quick windfall profits.

BZP did qualify as a buy today though, but for a very different reason, albeit an important one.

Price broke out above a recent high on almost double the average daily volume. Price break outs, on huge volume, often times signify a strong up leg is coming.

Where the momentum band strategy comes into play, is if price can rise 20% in the coming two weeks, or less.

The bands will then show if the strong upside momentum is continuing, or if the move is petering out, and which case you'd want to sell part of your position to lock those windfall profits in.
