Dell maintaining 3-4 day production times... In spite of what must be accelerating holiday sales, The new Dimension XPS-R I ordered on 11/21 (weekend) was finished and out the door on 11/25. If it were not for the holiday I would have it in my eager hands tomorrow (grrrrrr). We all know how efficient Dell's BTO operation is, but it's truly impressive to see it in action first hand. The last BTO machine I bought was a Micron which took almost three weeks, and the Gateway laptop I got this summer took two weeks. In both cases inventory problems were blamed. I'll be buying Dell systems (and more shares) from now on!
