(MIIPs). They build a fiber-optic loop around a Metro area and connect that directly to the Internet backbone." Two examples are Yipes and
Telseon. Outside the US, Utfors in Scandanavia and Bell Nexxia in Canada which use Nortel's 10Gb solution.
