Dandy, You're right that the issue has blown way out of proportion on the street. All these modems are or will shortly be based on software configurable DSP's (Digital Signal Processors)that can be upgraded with downloadable software. I suspect that the street interest is driven by short term sellers and buyers who are looking to ride short term successes, failures and sentiments (fair game - I do it myself). Long term and for the long traders - this is an immaterial issue. AAF Dream Networks
