There are two things that I think will make American strong, being tops in science and tops in global finances. Strength without wisdom is dangerous. What good is strong Science if it is misdirected - into production of weapons, or chemistry that causes pollution and disease. What good is strong finance, if creates more efficient techniques to ruin the world and to extend a pernicious and destructive mindset into virgin territories? We do need strength: Strength of character. We need courage,also: the courage to see how science and finance can create a world that is worth living in - and lives that are worth living. Then we need a leader who will lead us there. This election in and of itself will solve nothing. We citizens will need to continue our involvement - to keep pressure on our representatives to do the right thing - no matter who gets elected. I do believe that our chances of forcing positive changes are better if Obama is elected.
