I'm listening to Harold Pinter giving a pure display of moonbattery on the BBC. He's going to read the names of Iraqi dead "to give the dead their identity" in a public stunt staged by London Mayor Ken "Red Ken" Livingstone.

When even the BBC presenter tried to suggest to him that casualties of the Iraqi fighting ought to be seen in proportion to Saddam's bloodthirsty reign, he angrily replied, "That has nothing to do with it. This was a unilateral action."

So who cares how many people lie in the mass graves? They don't rate, compared with any numbers killed by US action. I do believe that if Saddam had been engaged in an attempt to wipe out the Kurdish population of Iraq, Pinter would have responded the same way.

BTW, the decried the "fascism" of many countries, by which he meant the US government. Not anybody in the Mideast, no, no, of course not. When it was pointed out to him that John Howard had just been returned in Australia and Tony Blair was doing well in the polls, he called their supporters idiots.

Just frigging insane.
