I was precise when I said: Alcohol generally takes 20 years or more to become addicted...although its effects are readily known on a short term basis. (i.e. driving irresponsibly, beating up other people, etc)... Many of the current group of drugs is addictive within two weeks or in other short periods of time Yes, there are a "few" young alcoholics who are addicted. In comparison to the numbers of people who drink alcohol, there are very few who become addicted in a short time. But that timeframe doesn't appear to be true about the drugs.....
