Cheap publicity stunt.
Of course in a venue the size of MileHigh, you are going to find things left behind. Children drop things, people leave things on their seats, things fall out, people get bumped and drop stuff exiting. But thousands intentionally TRASHED? I really doubt the truth of that statement. Regardless, trying to make that into some kind of patriotic statement is silly. But then a lot of this is silly.
