Jim, CNBC's Dave,Joe and guest had an interesting discussion on PC Sales this morning.

Best Buy had 8% lower than last year November revenues. Cicuit City had 10% lower than last year computer sales. So how can there be such demand for PC's when 2 of the biggest retailers are reporting lower sales revenues?

The guest (I didn't catch his name) said the he thought the real growth was on the corporate side with upgrades and windows NT driving sales.

Dave and Joe were speculating that although BB and CC had lower revenues the thought it could be selling lower end PC's with lower profit margins and price cuts this year that have reduced revenues.

For Dell I see no impact from the BB & CC news as Dell is on the right side of this issue, that is the corporate upgrade side.

Dell did very well thru the spring and summer as PC sales were slower and larger price cuts were coming in. Dell has not had large price cuts this fall or winter. With Dell on the higher end computer sales with higher margins and sales ramping upward this quarters report should be fun. (Sorry Bears!)

What is you take on the Best Buy & Cicuit City issue, Pat

P.S. CompUSA got an earnings upgrade with sales expected to grow 20-25% next year. Go figure.
