Nova Scotia: @EvenPrime Just found out my mother's coworker's brother in law was a victim in Nova Scotia's shooting rampage yesterday. 19 people are now confirmed dead. I called Dad and he couldn't even talk to me he was so emotional. I could hear him whimper while he gave the phone to my mother so she could speak. I guess mom went into Truro for a new dog leash while the shooting spree was going on and she had no idea. Dad seen it on the news and was trying to call/email her but she was still driving (They live an hour in the country, and she was driving right into where all this happened). By the time she realized what had happened dad had called a billion times. The longest and darkest hour in dad's life while he desperately waited to hear from her. My father, a 25 year military veteran, hard as nails! Hard to express the feeling of hearing him whimper like that because he was so worried about my mother. Our hearts break for everyone affected by this tragedy. The Irving Big Stop where they killed the shooter is my favorite place to eat when Im home, its nostalgic. I ate there last month when I went back there for a few weeks vacation after #PDAC. Crazy ceo.ca
