Where was that vote taken? What office did he hold at the time? Obama took a stand that was safe, the one his constituents wanted. Meanwhile many of the elite highly educated experienced legislators in Washington voted for the war. Had they any sense of history they would have realized Bush's projections of the course of our involvement were a low probability. On the bright side we have thousands of veterans who know the significance of Al Qaeda and radical Islam. The will return and have a strong influence over our nation's future. reuters.com
