Amazing similarities on many fronts.. Only we are now a debtor nation, consumers leveraged to the hilt and interest rates had trended down for the 20+ years from very high levels before bottoming earlier this decade as oppossed to very cheap financing available during the entire post WWII period.. A move much higher up this time in a condensed time frame would be disasterous resulting in the dreaded 'D' word perhaps as the end game?
