Agree that Bush will look foolish, but better safe than sorry. I think Bush will get over it, as the view from the White House is pretty nice -g-

Gore gains net 3 votes in Palm Beach with 1/5 of the total vote complete.

As for Boies, like I said, he is as slick as the devil. Bush's lawyers lacked the presence. Lets hope they were heard.

Prediction. This court is not made up of fools. I bet they have discussed this and wanted to project a tough stance on the Bush side. Then if they rule against Gore it will look good. People are people, no matter what their title is. I still have hope that they rule more in favor of Bush. I heard at the end, and if I understand the law correctly, the certification should have happened to keep the process moving forward.

I predict they allow the certification to occur soon and then a contest for the recount votes to begin. Timing to support that recount will be defined and still allow time for a response from the Bush side and meet the state and federal guidelines for the electoral college vote/cert.

I am not a lawyer. I don't know jack about the law. Just a guess.
