Just curious what will happen to the banking institutions where that $1.4 trillion in assets are currently located, when they get repatriated home?

One can assume that they have been posted as collateral against loans or derivatives, even if in dollar denominated assets. Pulling those assets "officially" back into US banking institutions, means pulling them out of the institutions they are currently located in.

Just curious what the repercussions might be. I have a hunch (undermining European banks depositor base), but want to test the theory against other opinions.
