There are scads of folks in Hawaii that could work...but why bother? Mo bettah go beach an' cruz it . The reason why HI gets so much back is due solely to Dan Inouye, the one armed bandit and "King of Pork"(He considers that nickname the highest compliment that can be paid to a politician). He sits as chair of the appropriations committee in the senate. Not one $ goes through w/o his OK. ....and there is a price to pay for his approval. Hawaii is a small state so even though we get back more than we give...it still is peanuts. Most of it goes to Pearl Harbor and the other military bases.
