One thing that I have not seen mentioned here about the conference call is the importance of the moment when M.Wygod made an additional comment about earnings expectations for the near future. He pointed out that the whole industry was down. This was, without mentioning anything about earnings, what is called "guidance." We now are assured that the major brokerages on the street are not expecting any great things on the earnings front. This has two advantages for the little guy (that's us): poor earnings performance will not be met with huge selling pressure from the big players (i.e., there will be a limit to any downside) and there will not be any hostility from the big players that they were blindsided, mislead to their disadvantage, made to look bad, etc., such as happened at the previous earnings conference call. mo
