The buyer will pick the least expensive Which incentivises junk. Junk from third world countries rather than quality products that would last for decades. To suggest that the buyer is going to base his decision on a "garbage rating" is rather silly in my mind. Returning the product to the manufacturer of course won't work - but maybe to the seller? Somehow this country has to figure in the cost of our consumption on the disposal side of the ledger. That would be true capitalism. steve
