RISK vs. Religious Tradition & Belief....
>>The religious tradition of a close family dominates the environment.>>
nihil:
I like to think of everything with reference to "light."
When I use the term "light" I'm simply clearing the deck on tradition, definitions, labels, filters, limits, etc. - ie. anything that refracts, reduces, disempowers, limits our ability to embrace and share energy with one another in ways which support the growth and development of more trust in the world.
Most of our problems relate to our knee-jerk reactions to judge others who may be trying to share and interact with others from a relative reference point which they identify with very personally.
This "power to judge" is diametrically aligned against the "power to risk and act."
The only way we can create, share and support trust is by embracing RISK and acting.
RISK exposes us to judgement.
RISK exposes us to rejection.
RISK exposes us to hurt.
But RISK also is the only medium through which we discover anything "new" which has the potential to create change which can enable us - individually and collectively - to "go higher" and see the world from a different - ie. higher - relative reference.
For, bottom line, the positives associated with risk far outweigh the negatives. RISK is the medium through which everything of any lasting value is created: hope, trust, truth, knowlege, love, etc.
ZERO RISK is like a blanket of darkness that wants to hide, use, cover up and blot out the risk takers in the world - the teachers, musicians, entrepreneurs, guides, helpers, lovers.
And the process of "going higher" can be a simple as taking someone from Cuba and allowing them to live and experience life in the United States for a few months.
There's real RISK here: for the person, his/her family, Castro and his supporters.
In the end the concession does not have to end with a "wrong vs. right" collapse. But truth and "light" will prevail - ie. light will always illuminate darkness. And the process of spreading "light" can only be done when individuals believe and have enough faith to support taking the necessary RISKS in order for them to gain a relatively "higher" perspective or understanding which they can share with others.
The birth of freedom and the United States would not have been possible had not the signers of the Declaration of Independence taken real RISKS by placing a stake in the ground to declare their public support for the Declaration of Independence. Many of these signers were hounded and targeted for the rest of their lives, even long after the revolution was won, by those who did not risk but played the corrupt game of ZERO risk - ie. heads I win, tails you lose.
Much of the problems in the world can be boiled down to simple personal refusals to appreciate the value of embracing risk.
For fear and the tendency to want to possess, control and judge always holds us back.
For when we possess, control and judge all we really are doing is refusing to risk. We opt to take energy from others instead of creating and sharing our own personal energy through this little narrow portal of light through which we "let go" and embrace risk. And in order for us to take this step we have to have the belief and faith and trust which understands that "risking is being."
Forget about Frederick. Just sharing some thoughts. I just have an insatiable desire to want to help and serve others. I don't care what others think. When I write these words I am exposing myself to hurt and embracing risk. For I know the feelings of hope, life, light, love and happiness and just want to share them with others so that more people can do this for themselves in their own way, on their own time - privately, personally.
I think RISK should firmly "dominate the environment." The label "religion" needs more of the fresh air of risk. Dig into any religion and I believe you will find RISK.
Look at it this way: the fusion of belief, trust and faith (with RISK as the catalyst) into ACTIONS = LOVE.
Love is light.
It's a fission reaction that virally grows, expands and spreads naturally. Light is radiated and shared. Pies grow and expand. All friction, limits and barriers are erradicated. Darkness turns to light.
The fear comes when we gather together clutch onto some safe little judgemental position(s) or environment inside this darkness. In this realm, politics and power win out as long as individuals continue to assign blame, refuse take responsibility for their happiness by NOT embracing risk.
Forget about philosophy, positions, ideas and thoughts.
Every person writes his or her story and comes into his or her personaly understanding in their own way as they embrace more risk and share more of the fruits of their harvest with others.
Peace.
