What gets me is "the poor" build where land is cheap.... for a reason, then come back and expect those who pay to live in better conditions to "fix" their problems.

Same sort of thinking from this clown in CA...

calmatters.org

And, rightfully so, California cities and counties are leading the way toward a more just and equitable solution by insisting that fossil fuel companies, which have made countless billions from the very products that have caused our climate crisis, pay their share to help communities recover from and adapt to a warming planet.

After the Spaniards settled California, they had to move Mission Santa Clara, that became University of Santa Clara, several times due to flooding... I paid attention to this when I was looking to buy a home in the Santa Clara valley and made sure I was well above several hundred year flood zones when I bought my home... Of course many cheap neighborhoods, much like the part of New Orleans built under sea level where the poor went because land was cheap.... flooded recently when we got a lot of rain and will probably suffer a similar fate when sea level eventually rises for whatever reason...

Anyway... yet another reason I don't own fossil fuel energy companies.
