NEWS - VIP*COMLINK Plans Shareholder Meeting

SALT LAKE CITY, Apr 9, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- VIP*COMLINK (OTC: VIPM)
president Ron Hansen announced today the company plans a special shareholder
meeting in the near future. Mr. Hansen noted that recent changes in the NASD
rules require that companies listed on the NASDAQ over-the-counter Bulletin
Board electronic trading system (BB) be registered with the U.S. Securities &
Exchange Commission as "fully reporting" companies. VIP*COMLINK (VIPM) was
dropped to "pink sheet" status because it is not a fully reporting company.

Mr. Hansen stated the company is engaging a local auditing firm and special
securities counsel to prepare the company to file a Form 10-SB registration
statement with the SEC under section 12(g) of the 1934 Exchange Act.

Mr. Hansen further stated the company would soon be sending out notices of the
special meeting to shareholders. The company will also seek proxies from
shareholders to give management authority to: seek a merger partner or
acquisition of a business opportunity; seek additional financing; and a possible
capital restructuring.

Following shareholder approvals and the filing of the registration statement,
Mr. Hansen believes the company will be in a much better position to approach a
broker-dealer firm to assist VIP*COMLINK in applying for Bulletin Board trading
status again for its shares of common stock.

For more information, please contact: Ronald Hansen, 801-229-9001, or Richard
Landerman, Robertson Cartwright & Co., 801-944-1268.
