Your comments never sounded offensive to me. I just didn't understand what you were getting at. As far as Christianity "destroying" "core Irish beliefs and ways of life", to be fair (and also to make yourself understood) you would have to be specific. If you are not specific (in making that or any other charge) then the logical result is that those listening to you or reading what you say have to supply the specifics and thereby most likely disagree with you or even take great offense, since it is as likely as winning the lottery that they will think of the same specifics that you are thinking of. And if you are not thinking of any specifics when making a charge that is condemnatory against anything or anybody, then you are speaking in generalities. And you know what they say about generalities - - they are always untrue (unless you can't find any exception to them, but we are very good at finding exceptions.)
