Only those who are not technically literate will stay with AOL, and they will not be its heaviest users. I think AOL realizes that its glory days are over, which is why it is trying to diversify itself with GNN, Webcrawler, and the recent announcement on local new service.

AOL will survive, but the fundamentals do not support such a lofty stock price. Given similar bandwidth constraints, AOL and the ISP's provide a commodity service. AOL has tried to differentiate itself with flashy graphics and ease of use, but frankly I think the Net is better in these areas as well.
Short AOL

Regards, John
