Could you elaborate on this issue in language that non-engineers might understand?

Also, can you shed some light on SVGI's barriers and opportunities in expanding their capacity. As a lensmaker, doesn't Nikon have a big inherent advantage in optical systems? Is the Japanese recesion the major factor that has restrained Nikon's growth in recent years?
