Can you enter a buy on close order for options?
(I'm using Fidelity as my broker)

You can do it, but not through their online interfaces.
You have to call and place a request with the option
specialist and pay full (not discounted) commissions to
do that.
(Disclaimer:
Last I did it was more than a year ago...so things could
have changed...you should verify with them.)

From the soapbox...seems like you are playing covered calls
with stocks you are not willing to part with. Some previous
discussions on this thread have indicated that you can
play the identical game with DITM puts with similar results
without risk of losing your stock.
(I am not disciplined enough to sell stocks with large gains
so I use covered calls to force those sell decisions on
me <G> so stick to writing them only on stocks I don't mind
parting with.
)
