Another contract to Spire Corporation; this one from the Air Force to develop next-generation transistors for communications: Spire will use its proprietary metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) process to produce next-generation, heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) structures that promise higher reliability, lower operating voltage, and easier integration compared to today's state-of-the-art devices.
