On wallstreetinterview.com, several months ago, a representative of Diamond Multimedia mentioned that the RioPort was going to evolved into something different? Wasn't that the same interview where the guy accidentally mentioned LU and EDIG?

During the e.Digital Corporation (EDIG) shareholders meeting today edig.com )Fred Falk (CEO) painted a bleak picture of MP3's future by saying that MP3 is used by unknown bands and bands that play out of their garages. Further, he stated that the IBM
Madison Project that is testing secure delivery of digital music is ONLY using EPAC and that MOST of the major record labels support EPAC.

Later Falk mentioned that at the COMDEX there will be an invitation only party (and RioPort has an invitation).

Near the end of the shareholders meeting Falk said, "sometimes your competitors end up being your customers." And he repeated the statement about how he is not at liberty to discuss potential clients' new products, launch dates, or proprietary information.

Its possible that S3 will continue to produce Rioport's digital music players. However, that player may have a Texas Instruments DSP that allows it to play multiple formats which include EPAC.

e.Digital is the only company that offers an EPAC option for a portable digital music player design.

Maybe I'm reading to much between the lines. Maybe I am not.

Imagine revenues if a RioPort has MicroOS inside. That would be nice, but I would also like a big name electronics manufacture like... to be an EDIG customer.

What do you think?
