Greg; I see you are a farseeing guru and self styled visionary. I can see MSFT doing that, but Oracle I think will fall by the wayside and shrink, like Apple.
Apple is shrinking as the recent cutbacks have shown to a smaller, leaner size, from which bnase it hopes to rebound if properly directed.
I do not read the headlines, I make my own decisions. I note you, and many others like you, seem to post a lot of headlines yourself(along with others),mainly Apple supportive stuff from Apple support threads. This glee club approach is not good judgement.

Apple is not stealing share from anyone. It is retrenching, cutting supplier lines and selling as surplus some old dogs in the warehouses.
I am also not so sure the "create once, crash on many" approach will work.
AST & Gateway are doomed. Dell and CPQ are OK for now. Apple is in limbo, and may in fact be doomed??, time will tell.
