Hmmmm....

Oppenheimer giving an estimated eps of 1.32 makes s3's PE 10.6.... and citing visibility is "pretty high" in 97.... but 1998 earnings are only about 20% increased.... still giving s3 a 98 p/e of 8..

what is this a bank or auto stock?...

Of the bears of this stock.... I think your problems are that your having a discussion with "fundamentel" investors , while your're purely a "chart reader"....

HOW CAN YOU BE BEARISH ON THIS COMPANIES FUNDEMENTALS?

what? is it the 50% market share that worries you?
what? is it the 25-27 million 3d chips to be shipped this year?
what? is it the SONIC VIBES audio chip?
what? is it the RIO chip?
what? is it the increase in Profit margin from 40 to 42%?
what? is it the "revolutionary chip" coming out for laptops?
what? is it the "high performance chip" coming out in 1998?
what? is it the steady earnings growth that you're worried about?

well , it certainly isn't the MMX..... and Auburn seems to be perhaps the least of Intel's worries right now.... (have you seen what AMD's stock price has been doing? well, i assure you Intel has.)

Don't get me wrong.... I don't like my stocks to go down. But when it does for no FUNDEMENTAL reason.... I have to look to buy more shares..
I original bought in at 12 mid last year and saw it double in a couple of months? why didn't I sell? ... Well, the fundementals of the company weren't any less than when I bought it... THEY WERE A LOT MORE!....

Well , I am getting tired now....

PS: S.Hamilton... you're right, you should "buy low and Sell high".
S3 was never "High" so I didn't sell, and now it's low again, so I am gonna buy!
thanks for the tip! :^)
