Of course you saw on National TV that $600.00 worth of Cipro costs $20.00 in India? And Bayer still makes a profit!

Amazing. I would not cry too much for Bayer.

I don't really care at all -- to put it in other terms, its like paying 149.00$ at Office Depot for the latest Microsoft Office or something like that; or buying a forged copy from the back of someones van for 5$.

SI after all being a 'stock and investment' forum, it should be noted that Bayer and the like spend hundreds of millions on R&D. They want a return on that investment, as their shareholders certianly do. Its all part of the American way and Dream to, is it not?

The "clone" drug company doesn't have to, they can steal the end result of the R&D, particularly in many foreign countries where there is no respect at all for IP rights.

Now if the whole world operated as capatilistic democracies, there'd be less IP violation, fewer wars, less state sponsored killing (tens of millions killed since WWII), etc.

Reward people for their honest efforts. What a great thing. And it tends to keep the peace.

I ramble. Its late. Sue me!
