OWW, Nowhere did we suggest that the Korean and Japanese semi production would be replaced.. What we concurred with was the point in the article that much of the New Equipment orders would be diverted to Taiwan and U.S. companies.. IOW, while the Koreans and Japanese can be expected to buy LESS, others will buy MORE.... And since equipment orders pretty much will depend upon end user demand, in the end it doesn't matter to the macro types who it is that does the supplying. My suggestion is that MORE of the supplying, at BETTER prices will be done by U.S. companies.... and therefore, TA DA! They will suck up some of that spare KLIC, AMAT, NVLS, VECO, GSNX, etc, equipment... OR,... maybe not <GG> TSO |
