Leninism is not Marxism, which was utopian. Being a leftist or even a communist doesn't mean you embrace Stalin, Mao, or any other ideological extreme that involves abuse anymore than being an American means you support slaves or coerced Indian Chinese. There is very little that is what I consider evil in revolutionary desperation - it is what it is - desperation. It is driven by the forces that are better justified than the ones that formed our country in many respects. Funny you don't see that irony in your absolute positions. See Canada, Australia and New Zealand didn't have to create bloodshed to be free, now did they? We probably didn't either. Are you now or have you been a Communist? Hmmm. Those were the good old days.
