I don't doubt that's true for you, but this is highly dependent on the individual and their home circumstances. Some personalities are not able to work nearly as productively from home as some others, particularly if the home atmosphere is full of distractions. I've had both kind of employees, which makes for a difficult situation, as you really have to offer this flexibility equally across the board (though it can vary by position), regardless of the individual's ability to deal effectively with it. If you have some employees who are not productive at home, then you're forced with a decision to let them go, even if they might have been productive employees in the office.
